I create my Fabric Paintings with high quality pigment based paints designed especially for use on fabric. These pigments are said by the manufacturer to resist fading for 40 to 50 years. So they are very similar to an oil painting in their ability to resist fading. I use 100% cotton fabric and generally speaking, 100% cotton threads for quilting. Generally, three layers are quilted on a sewing machine or longarm quilting machine. The work is all free motion with no computer aided stitching. Paintings are mounted on a solid wood framing system, wired and ready to hang.
